Gucci Spring 2012.

Frida Giannini has really brought out the 1920s flapper style in the Gucci spring 2012 collection. The use of sequins and architectural linear symmetry seems to be inspired by the movies “The Artist” and “Midnight in Paris” that came out this year, which were throwbacks to the times of flapper girls and jazz music. Other designers including Ralph Lauren and Alberta Ferretti showed a similar theme in their spring 2012 collections with lots of glitter and fringe.
